Day 1  Arrive Arusha
Jambo! Welcome to Tanzania. Upon arrival this evening, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2  Arusha-Tarangire | Meals: BLD
Following breakfast, depart to Tarangire National Park. Once you pass the gate, game view enroute to your luxury lodge. Later, head back into the park for an afternoon game drive.

Thanks to the Tarangire River (which runs through the park), Tarangire is a haven for wildlife and you might find high concentrations of plains game like Thomson's gazelle, buffalo, eland, hartebeest, impala, waterbuck and much more. There are 8 distinct zones in Tarangire, from seasonal swamps to open plains and acacia woodland. Look (and listen) for the spotted hyena whose distinctive "whoop" is often heard through the still of the night. Thanks to the plentiful supply of food, predators like lion, leopard and cheetah are well represented in Tarangire. More than 300 species of birds have been recorded in Tarangire, so keep your eyes peeled for the bateleur eagle, ground hornbill and abundant species of bee-eaters and rollers.

Tarangire Kuru Treetops Lodge



Indulge in lavish luxury at the Tarangire Kuro Treetops Lodge, which is nestled deep within the heart of the National Park. Day 3  Tarangire-Manyara | Meals: BLD
Enjoy an early morning game drive in Tarangire before breakfast. Then, depart to Lake Manyara National Park, arriving at your lodge in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive.

Lake Manyara National Park was once one of the most popular hunting areas of Tanzania. Well known for its tree-climbing lions found lazing on branches of acacia trees, Manyara features large concentrations of elephant and buffalo. Other wildlife includes common waterbuck, Maasai giraffe, zebra, impala, baboons and blue monkeys. Bird lovers will delight in the more than 400 species including white-breasted cormorant, red-billed oxpecker, African spoonbill, lesser flamingo, white pelican, grey-headed gull, wood sandpiper, black-winged stilt, white-faced duck, white-crowned plover, blacksmith plover, long-toed plover, avocet, water dikkop, cattle egret, common sandpiper, painted snipe and sacred ibis to name just a few!

Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge



Nested on the rim of the great Rift Valley, with stunnig views over Lake Manyara, Mount Meru and on a clear day, Mount Kilimanjaro. The lodge is set on pristine lush green gardens and local vegetation with over 130 species of bird.

Day 4  Lake Manyara-Serengeti | Meals: BLD
Drive to the Serengeti this morning, arriving at your camp in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive.

Game viewing in the Serengeti is never disappointing, as the park has one of the highest concentrations of game in Tanzania. Plains game like Coke's hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle and Grant's gazelle are plentiful. So too are buffalo and wildebeests. Wildebeests sometimes bear the brunt of jokes because of their "funny looking" appearance. Some say the wildebeest was made of spare parts. But it has adapted well to the environment and the sheer number of wildebeests on the plains will amaze you.

Ole Serai Moru Kopjes



This Luxury Camp is ideally located within Central Seronera area of the famous Serengeti National Park in Tanzania around the vicinity of the famous Moru Kopjes and Lake Magadi. The Camp site is perched between the Rongai Hills & Nyaroboro Hills, a few metres away from the banks of the Mbalageti / Seronera River having an abundant variety of resident wildlife (including all the Big 5) as well as a Hippo Pool located only a few metres away from the camp.

Day 5  Serengeti | Meals: BLD
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives today.

The Serengeti is also famous for the big cats. Thanks to the large food supply provided by the plains game, the big cats are also found in large numbers. Cheetahs love the kopjes as they provide excellent vantage points for spotting prey. If you are lucky you might spot the fringe-eared oryx or the shy klipspringer. Watch the rocks for the rock hyrax...the closest relative to the elephant! Bird lovers will be busy checking off species from their list. Look for the Ruppell's longtailed starling, Griffon vulture, kori bustard, ostrich and the colorful lilac-breasted roller - to name just a few.

Day 6  Serengeti-Ngorongoro | Meals: BLD
Game drive your way out of the Serengeti into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at Olduvai Gorge for a chance to see the site where the Leakey family made several important archaeological discoveries. You will also stop at a Maasai village to learn about their way of life. Arrive at your lodge in time for a late lunch and afternoon at leisure.

After breakfast, descend into Ngorongoro Crater for an amazing day of game viewing. The crater is home to a wide variety of both herbivores and carnivores. Zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and eland are abundant. With such a rich food supply, carnivores like lion, hyenas and leopard are also at home in the crater. Watch for the kori bustard (the world's largest flying bird) to see if you can spot its elaborate territorial display during breeding season. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor and then continue exploring the distinct areas of the crater: forest, open grassland, swamps and lakes.

Day 6  Serengeti-Ngorongoro | Meals: BLD
Game drive your way out of the Serengeti into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at Olduvai Gorge for a chance to see the site where the Leakey family made several important archaeological discoveries. You will also stop at a Maasai village to learn about their way of life. Arrive at your lodge in time for a late lunch and afternoon at leisure.

Ngorongoro Oldeani Lodge



A 5-star colonial lodge situated on a picturesque hill with spectacular views onto Oldeani Mountain and the Ngorongoro Crater Rim. The lodge is elevated with 360 degree views that extend all the way to Lake Eyasi and Lake Manyara. The property is set on 40 acres of pristine lush gree gardens and local vegetation with over 130 species of birds.

Day 7  Ngorongoro | Meals: BLD
After breakfast, descend into Ngorongoro Crater for an amazing day of game viewing. The crater is home to a wide variety of both herbivores and carnivores. Zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and eland are abundant. With such a rich food supply, carnivores like lion, hyenas and leopard are also at home in the crater. Watch for the kori bustard (the world's largest flying bird) to see if you can spot its elaborate territorial display during breeding season. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor and then continue exploring the distinct areas of the crater: forest, open grassland, swamps and lakes.

Day 8  Ngorongoro-Zanzibar | Meals: BD
Drive back to Arusha where you will be dropped off at the Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your beach resort.
